What is the StockWire X Market Impact Score?
The Market Impact Score is a proprietary AiGentic scoring system designed to assess how meaningful and market-moving an announcement is likely to be, at the moment it is released.
Rather than simply classifying news as “good” or “bad”, the score evaluates the real-world significance of an announcement by analysing:
- The substance of the event (what actually happened)
- The company’s context (size, capital structure, and leverage)
- The clarity and conviction of the disclosure (how the market is likely to interpret it)
Each announcement is scored on a 1 – 10 scale, where higher scores indicate news that is more likely to capture investor attention and influence capital inflows, while lower scores indicate announcements that may reduce investor confidence and contribute to capital outflows.
How the score should be interpreted
- 1- 4: Low-impact or negative developments that may weaken investor confidence and contribute to capital outflows
- 5: Neutral or informational updates with limited immediate impact on capital allocation
- 6 – 7: Moderately positive announcements that may support re-rating and capital inflows
- 8 – 9: Strong catalysts with clear market relevance and heightened investor interest
- 10: Rare, company-defining events with the potential to materially change investor perception and capital allocation
The score reflects net positive market impact, not volatility, hype, or short-term price prediction.
What makes it different
The Market Impact Score is not a sentiment label and not a trading signal.
It is designed to help investors quickly answer one question:
“How much does this announcement actually matter in the context of the market?”
By combining event significance with market psychology, the score helps surface announcements that are more likely to drive genuine investor engagement and capital inflows, while filtering out routine, low-signal, or confidence-eroding updates.
Important note
The Market Impact Score does not predict future share price movements and should not be interpreted as investment advice. It is a contextual intelligence tool designed to support faster, more informed analysis.
