FY27 guidance reaffirmed at approximately $500 million revenue and $60 million before-tax profit
SKS Technologies Group (ASX: SKS) has reaffirmed its FY27 guidance of approximately $500 million in revenue and $60 million in before-tax profit, in a market release dated 23 October 2026.
The reaffirmation follows recent public commentary and enquiries about the company’s exposure to NEXTDC and its M3 Melbourne data centre project.
SKS also confirmed that the NEXTDC matters will not have any material impact on SKS Technologies Group. For investors, the unchanged guidance is the key takeaway from the release.
The FY27 forecast of $500 million revenue and $60 million profit before tax was first set alongside the full-year results in August, supported by a cost base already structured to handle that scale without material overhead increases.

Why the NEXTDC exposure is not material to SKS
M3 works substantially completed
SKS stated that the business has substantially completed its contracted works at the M3 project. On that basis, the company confirmed the NEXTDC matters will not have any material impact on the group.
The announcement does not disclose the value of the M3 contract or any payment status.
No other NEXTDC work in the pipeline
SKS made three confirmations in the release:
- No other material contracted works currently with NEXTDC
- No future NEXTDC projects included in its communicated project pipeline
- No material impact on SKS’s operations, financial performance or outlook
| Item | Status per SKS |
|---|---|
| M3 contracted works | Substantially completed |
| Other NEXTDC contracts | No other material contracted works currently |
| Future NEXTDC pipeline projects | None included in communicated project pipeline |
| Impact on operations, financial performance or outlook | Not material |
Understanding customer concentration risk in contracting
Contractors earn revenue by delivering projects for clients. When a large share of work comes from one client, the contractor’s results can be closely tied to that client’s circumstances.
This is why investors often check customer exposure when a major client appears in the headlines. The question is whether problems at the client could flow through to the contractor’s earnings.
In SKS’s case, the company has confirmed it has no other material contracted works currently with NEXTDC and no future NEXTDC projects in its communicated project pipeline. That indicates its outlook does not depend on further NEXTDC work, although the release does not provide revenue-concentration figures.
SKS’s work on hand stood at $270 million after a $38 million repeat MEL2 award in October, and that contracted base is weighted toward other developers rather than NEXTDC.
Board confidence and the road to the AGM
The Board addressed its outlook directly in the release.
The Board remains confident in the company’s continuing potential for growth and in its current and future operational performance, given there is no material change to business since the full-year results announcement in August.
SKS will update the market at its Annual General Meeting on 26 November 2026.
SKS specialises in the design and installation of electrical technologies and digital infrastructure across Australia. It serves sectors including data centres, defence, mining, health, retail and commercial buildings.
That diversified sector base, together with unchanged FY27 guidance, supports the company’s case that the NEXTDC matters are contained. The AGM on 26 November 2026 is the next scheduled opportunity for the company to update the market.
