OMG Group posts record July net sales of ~$738k, up ~120% on prior year
OMG Group (ASX: OMG) has delivered its strongest July on record, reporting net sales of ~$738k in July FY27, up ~120% on the prior corresponding period (July FY26: ~$335k). The health and wellness food company confirmed the result in a trading update released on 4 August 2026.
The performance marks a strong start to FY27, with sales momentum continuing beyond the June quarter. Growth was led by the ecommerce channel across OMG Group’s core Australian brands.

July sales bucked the usual seasonal slowdown
The standout feature of the result was its timing. July net sales grew ~46% month-on-month from June, reversing OMG Group’s historical seasonal pattern where July typically softens relative to June as retailers manage stock levels into the financial year-end.
That reversal contrasts sharply with the prior two years, when July net sales fell on June by ~53% and ~37% respectively. For investors, breaking a well-established seasonal trend points to genuine underlying demand strength rather than a calendar quirk.
The July result extends a run of strong monthly performances that has built through FY26, with record May trading delivering ~$650k in net sales and MAT ecommerce growing ~87% year-on-year to reach ~$2.4m across the same period.
| Period | July net sales (A$) | Movement |
|---|---|---|
| July FY24 | ~$335k | — |
| July FY25 | ~$210k | — |
| July FY26 | ~$335k | — |
| July FY27 | ~$738k | +120% on PCP |

Blue Dinosaur brand refresh completed to underpin momentum
During the period, OMG Group completed a full brand refresh of Blue Dinosaur, one of its core fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands. The refresh comprised three key components:
-
New-look packaging across the range
-
An expanded line of protein + fibre bars
-
A new website to support both direct-to-consumer sales and brand engagement
The refresh is designed to strengthen shelf presence, support the brand’s continued retail expansion and drive the ecommerce growth that remains a key contributor to the Company’s performance.
Blue Dinosaur’s retail trajectory is also supported by broader ranging wins across OMG’s brand portfolio, with a Woolworths national ranging extension earlier in 2026 adding three new PrOATein flavours across 943 stores and reinforcing the multi-retailer shelf strategy that complements the ecommerce channel.
Alex Aleksic, Chief Executive Officer
“July was our strongest on record, up around 120% on the same month last year. What makes it stand out is that July usually slows for us and for the sector, as retailers run stock down into the June year-end. This year we grew from June to July, which reflects strong underlying demand and momentum across the business.”
Aleksic added that the completed refresh provides “a stronger platform to support the brand’s continued development across both retail and direct-to-consumer channels.”
Why ecommerce momentum matters for OMG investors
OMG Group is a health and wellness food company whose core brands are Blue Dinosaur® and Oat Milk Goodness. For a consumer-facing FMCG business, ecommerce-led growth carries specific advantages: selling directly to customers can support stronger margins, builds a direct relationship with the end consumer, and reduces reliance on retail shelf negotiations that can constrain traditional distribution.
The combination of a strong ecommerce contribution, a reversal of the usual July seasonality, and a refreshed brand platform builds a case for continuing sales momentum into FY27. The recurring role of the ecommerce channel as a leading contributor to growth is particularly relevant, as it points to a demand driver that OMG Group controls more directly than shelf placement.
What’s next for OMG Group
Management framed the record July result as a strong start to FY27, with sales momentum continuing beyond the June quarter. The completed Blue Dinosaur refresh is expected to underpin ongoing sales momentum with key customer groups, providing what the Company described as a “stronger platform to support the brand’s continued development across both retail and direct-to-consumer channels.”
No forward guidance, revenue targets, or full-year forecasts were disclosed in the trading update.
