What is next for H2G’s PowerSafe rollout
A second shipment of approximately 550 kWh of PowerSafe sodium-ion batteries is due to arrive within weeks, further supporting customer demand.
H2G’s CEC-approved PowerSafe hybrid inverters are also now available for immediate supply alongside the PowerSafe Stackable sodium Ion Batteries. The inverters are specifically matched to the PowerSafe Sodium-ion chemistry and support residential solar and grid-connected applications.
Pairing batteries with matched inverters gives customers a combined offering available now.
The upcoming items stated by the company are:
- A second shipment of approximately 550 kWh of PowerSafe sodium-ion batteries is due to arrive within weeks, supporting customer demand.
- H2G states it will continue to provide updates as further shipments arrive and as sales convert from the existing pipeline.
Why sodium-ion chemistry matters for Australian energy storage
A sodium-ion battery stores energy using sodium ions rather than the lithium ions found in more familiar lithium-based batteries. Both types move charged particles between two electrodes to store and release power.
H2G says PowerSafe sodium-ion systems continue to differentiate through:
- Inherent safety, with non-flammable chemistry and no thermal runaway risk
- Long cycle life
- Temperature resilience more suited to Australian conditions
- Low carbon footprint
- Full recyclability
Thermal runaway is a chain reaction in which a battery overheats uncontrollably. Safety and heat tolerance are factors buyers commonly weigh when choosing storage for homes and businesses.
| Feature | Why it matters to buyers |
|---|---|
| Non-flammable chemistry | No thermal runaway risk, as cited by H2G |
| Long cycle life | Supports durable, long-life storage |
| Temperature resilience | More suited to Australian conditions |
| Low carbon footprint and full recyclability | Addresses environmental considerations |
Investment significance and company background
H2G is an Australian renewable energy company focused on safe, long-life energy storage solutions. Its PowerSafe sodium-ion batteries are aimed at residential, commercial, industrial and Utility applications.
For investors, the update points to early commercial traction, a widening geographic footprint across three eastern states and a sales pipeline the company says it will provide updates on. H2G has indicated further announcements will follow as shipments arrive and sales convert.
The commercial rollout is backed by a balance sheet that received a non-dilutive R&D refund in July 2026, which together with the February equity raise extends H2G’s cash runway into 2027.
