The certification arrives alongside a policy shift. According to the Company, the government announced the day before this release a modification to the incentives available for commercial solar installations in Australia.
Under the change, upfront incentives can now apply to commercial installations of up to 1MW, compared with the prior 100kW maximum. This meaningfully expands the pool of projects that qualify for support at the point of purchase.
The practical effect is a lower acquisition cost for commercial solar. Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Doug Hunt noted the changes would reduce that cost significantly, and lower the acquisition cost across the whole range of ClearVue products, improving customer paybacks.
The timing is notable. The CEC listing was achieved just as the addressable commercial market widened.
