Q1 FY27 highlights: five mecwacare sites live as InteliCare builds its recurring SaaS revenue base
In its Q1 FY27 operations update for the September 2026 quarter, InteliCare Holdings reported five mecwacare sites live, with a further three sites in deployment and installation. The quarter ended 30 September 2026, and the company focused on delivering its existing agreements with mecwacare, Hardi Aged Care and Warrigal Care.
Key figures for the quarter included:
- Customer receipts of $408,000
- A further ~$470,000 invoiced across existing customers
- Quarter-end cash of $1.394 million
The company said the cash position reflects $759,000 invested upfront in inventory, supporting deployments expected to generate over $1.2 million in revenue over coming quarters. Contracted and anticipated receipts are expected to materially strengthen the cash position.
Angus Cameron, CEO
“We are continuing to experience strong organic interest from aged care providers seeking to understand how InteliCare can support how they deliver care at their facilities.”
Cameron also said:
“Our focus is on translating that interest into paid deployments, while delivering for our existing customers.”

Deployment performance across mecwacare, Hardi and Warrigal
mecwacare rollout under the five-year Master Subscription Agreement
InteliCare progressed the rollout under the five-year Master Subscription Agreement with mecwacare, announced in March 2026. The five live sites total 281 beds, while three further sites totalling 306 beds are in the planning, deployment and equipment installation phase.
The rollout provides a foundation for deployment across mecwacare’s portfolio of approximately 1,600 beds across 22 facilities. The rollout has also broadened to incorporate Nurse Call, adding to the implementation scope at each site.
The five-year Master Subscription Agreement was valued at $8.8 million and combines hardware, implementation fees and recurring SaaS subscriptions across a structured rollout schedule running through FY28.
David Mitrovic, facilities manager at the mecwacare Trescowthick residential aged care facility, told industry publication The Weekly Source that InteliCare was “one of the most fundamental pieces of technology” he has seen in his 21 years in nursing. Asked whether he could imagine running Trescowthick without it:
David Mitrovic, Facilities Manager, Trescowthick
“No way. No going back.”
Hardi expansion
During the quarter, InteliCare announced an expansion of its agreement with Western Sydney-based provider Hardi. It includes an additional 84 beds at the Blacktown facility and a phased Nurse Call deployment across Hardi’s six facilities, comprising 580 beds.
The Blacktown expansion and initial Nurse Call deployments generate $371,000 in fees. The platform has been deployed at four Hardi facilities, and the initial 2024 agreement carried a total contract value of $2.9 million over three years.
Warrigal retirement living entry
InteliCare progressed preparations for its first commercial deployment in the retirement living sector, covering 65 two-bedroom villas at a new Warrigal development. Equipment has been delivered, integration work is substantially complete, and final testing is being completed ahead of residents commencing occupancy.
The agreement has an estimated total contract value of approximately $200,000, with an initial three-year subscription period. It establishes a pathway for potential expansion across Warrigal’s ten retirement villages, supporting approximately 700 residents.
| Customer | Scope | Beds/Villas | Contract detail | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| mecwacare | Five-year Master Subscription Agreement, including Nurse Call | 281 beds live (5 sites); 306 beds (3 sites) | Announced March 2026 | Five sites live; three in deployment and installation |
| Hardi | Blacktown expansion and phased Nurse Call across six facilities | 84 beds added; 580 beds Nurse Call | $371,000 in fees; initial 2024 agreement $2.9 million over three years | Platform deployed at four facilities |
| Warrigal | Retirement living deployment | 65 two-bedroom villas | Estimated ~$200,000; initial three-year subscription | Final testing ahead of resident occupancy |
What smart monitoring means for aged care providers
InteliCare’s platform is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, meaning customers pay a recurring subscription to use software rather than buying it outright. Its smart monitoring solution is designed to provide insights into resident wellbeing, safety and activity patterns, supporting the identification of changes in behaviour and earlier intervention where appropriate.
For investors, recurring subscription revenue builds a base of repeating income as more sites go live. For mecwacare, SaaS for each site is paid upfront for 12 months in advance once a site is completed.
Financial results and cash position
InteliCare recorded customer cash receipts of $408,000 for the quarter, compared with $1.806 million in the June quarter. The company attributed the lower figure to timing: the June quarter included approximately $1.5 million in mecwacare receipts, made up of approximately $1.04 million for hardware (first five sites), $292,000 for implementation and $152,000 for SaaS subscription payments.
| Expense component | September 2026 quarter |
|---|---|
| Staff costs | $538k |
| Administration and corporate costs | $385k |
| Advertising and marketing | $4k |
| Product manufacturing and operating costs | $757k |
Operating expenditure was approximately $160,000 higher than usual, reflecting financial year-end expenses such as audit (~$60k) and ASX fees (~$60k) that fell due during the quarter.
The most significant outlay was approximately $759,000 on hardware for upcoming deployments, including the continued mecwacare rollout and expanding Nurse Call opportunities. The hardware will support more than $1.2 million in revenue, of which approximately $470,000 has already been invoiced, and the purchase enabled volume discounts while ensuring equipment availability for the next tranche of mecwacare sites.
Payments of $128k were made to related parties, relating to non-executive director remuneration and service agreements with Forward Logic Pty Ltd.
Pipeline and what happens next
The company outlined the following forward items:
- Outstanding invoices are expected to be paid in the December quarter, alongside further implementation and recurring SaaS fees as deployments progress across mecwacare, Hardi and Warrigal.
- Five customer proposals are awaiting confirmation, combining for approximately $500k in potential revenue, typically starting with an initial one site pilot. Shareholders will be updated in due course.
- Negotiations are at an advanced stage with one of WA’s largest aged care providers.
- One of New Zealand’s largest aged care providers is in discussions with InteliCare regarding deployment of the offering.
- The remaining mecwacare deployment schedule is being coordinated, and Warrigal residents are yet to commence occupancy.
Potential expansion remains subject to customer evaluation and agreement on commercial terms. Management also noted the large number of aged care executives who have toured mecwacare’s Trescowthick facility, which provides a showcase of InteliCare’s offerings.
