- Registered pharmacist and healthcare M&A executive with more than 30 years’ experience
- Almost 20 years at a Fortune 5 US healthcare company, rising to Head of Corporate Development and M&A

What is a strategic adviser and why does it matter?
A strategic adviser helps a company identify, structure and negotiate deals such as partnerships, licensing arrangements and distribution agreements. For investors, commercial deals of this kind could build value without relying solely on a company’s own sales footprint in a large market such as the US, although no outcome is assured.
A value-realisation approach that avoids issuing new shares
The Board describes its approach as designed to realise value for shareholders through partnerships or strategic investment rather than by issuing new shares. For shareholders, the key takeaway is that the approach is framed around limiting dilution, which is the reduction in each existing holder’s ownership share when new shares are issued.
The adviser role sits alongside Compumedics’ internal US build-out, where a US Chief Commercial Officer with a large-scale medtech P&L background is strengthening the sleep and IDTF commercial teams around Somfit®.
The announcement states one forward-looking event:
- Further appointments: the Board expects to make two to three further strategic investment or investment banking appointments by the end of the March 2027 quarter.
