Adisyn appoints Kevin Crofton as Executive Chairman to drive commercial execution
Adisyn Ltd (ASX: AI1) has announced a planned leadership transition designed to support the Company’s continued evolution towards commercial execution. Kevin Crofton, previously Non-Executive Chairman, has been appointed Executive Chairman, effective 7 September 2026.
Separately, Arye Kohavi’s role has been varied by the Board from Managing Director to Non-Executive Director, effective immediately. The changes position the semiconductor and graphene technology developer to shift emphasis from technology development towards commercial delivery.

What is changing at the top
Mr Crofton’s transition to Executive Chairman is intended to provide executive oversight of the Company’s strategic, technical and commercial priorities. He will remain a director of 2D Generation Ltd and 2D Radar Absorbers Ltd.
The Company has confirmed it will not support the extension of Mr Kohavi’s service agreement with 2D Generation Ltd for his role as CEO of that entity, beyond the current term ending 9 January 2027. This relates to his CEO position at 2D Generation Ltd, distinct from his Adisyn board role.
Despite the expanded remit, Mr Crofton’s remuneration will not change at this time. The Board is separately undertaking a search for a new Chief Executive Officer of 2D Generation Ltd with extensive semiconductor industry experience.
| Executive | Prior role | New role or action | Effective | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kevin Crofton | Non-Executive Chairman | Executive Chairman | 7 Sep 2026 | Remains director of 2D Generation Ltd & 2D Radar Absorbers Ltd |
| Arye Kohavi | Managing Director (Adisyn) | Non-Executive Director | Immediate | CEO service agreement at 2D Generation Ltd not extended beyond 9 Jan 2027 |
Why the timing matters for investors
The Board has framed the transition as following significant success in building out the Company’s technology base. According to Adisyn, these foundations are now established:
-
An established semiconductor technology platform
-
An expanded portfolio of graphene-based technologies
-
Increasing engagement with global semiconductor industry participants
With these in place, the Board believes the strategic priority is to accelerate commercial execution and appoint executive leadership with the industry experience required to deliver the next phase. The CEO search targeting a proven track record in technology commercialisation underscores that intent.
The technology foundations the Board cites include the 200mm wafer milestone achieved in August 2026, when Adisyn completed what it described as the world’s first publicly disclosed low-temperature graphene deposition across a full 200mm semiconductor wafer, independently verified at all 12 sampling locations.
Mr Crofton brings more than three decades of international leadership experience across the semiconductor, advanced manufacturing and technology sectors. The Company states this experience provides continuity of leadership during the period of transition.
Kevin Crofton, Executive Chairman
“As Adisyn transitions from technology development towards commercial execution, the Board believes this is the right time to evolve our leadership structures across the organisation.”
“My immediate priority as Executive Chairman is to ensure continuity while the Board secures a Chief Executive Officer with extensive semiconductor industry experience and a proven track record in technology commercialisation, strategic partnerships and business growth.”
Understanding Adisyn’s semiconductor and graphene technology
Adisyn is an Australian technology company developing advanced graphene materials for high-value applications in the semiconductor and advanced materials sectors. Its core focus is a patented low-temperature Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) process, designed to enable direct graphene growth on semiconductor wafers.
The process addresses the performance limitations of copper interconnects in next-generation semiconductor devices. Interconnects are the microscopic wiring that carries electrical signals within a chip, and copper faces constraints as devices continue to shrink.
The Company is also exploring advanced composite materials designed to reduce radar signatures in UAV and defence platforms. High-value end markets cited include AI computing, communications and defence.
Alongside this, Adisyn Services provides managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence solutions to Australian small and medium-sized enterprises. For investors, the IP-backed technology platform helps explain why leadership focused on commercial execution has become a stated priority.
What comes next
An active search is underway for a new CEO of 2D Generation Ltd with extensive semiconductor industry experience and a proven track record in the field. The Board has stated it intends to complete the process in a “timely manner,” without assigning a specific date.
Mr Kohavi’s Non-Executive Director role at Adisyn is effective immediately, while his CEO term at 2D Generation Ltd runs to 9 January 2027.
Mr Crofton said his immediate priority is to ensure continuity, while the broader priority is to appoint the right leader to build on the foundations already established and accelerate the Company’s commercial growth. The Board has positioned its leading-edge technology platform, growing industry engagement and continued Board renewal as the basis for delivering long-term value for shareholders.
