Gratifii goes live with Qantas under a binding three-year agreement
Gratifii Limited (ASX: GTI) announced that its subsidiary, Ticketmates Australia Pty Ltd, has taken its online marketplace live for members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The platform is delivering its movies and experiences catalogue under a binding three-year agreement with Qantas Airways Limited.
The agreement is not subject to any material conditions precedent, and the company considers it material for Gratifii. For investors, this means the platform is already live rather than pending, and the announcement does not describe any outstanding conditions that must be met before the arrangement proceeds.
Iain Dunstan, CEO and Managing Director
“Going live puts our movies and experiences in front of 18 million Qantas Frequent Flyer members and delivers on the pipeline of partnerships we signalled to the market…”

A major new enterprise distribution channel
According to the company, the agreement opens a major new enterprise distribution channel for Gratifii’s cinema and attractions network. It is expected to lift ticket volumes over the initial three-year term.
The key deal facts at a glance:
- A binding three-year agreement with Qantas Airways Limited
- Live now for Qantas Frequent Flyer members
- 18 million Qantas Frequent Flyer members, as cited by the CEO
- No material conditions precedent
| Fact | Investor angle |
| Binding three-year agreement | Defined initial term for the channel |
| Live now | Platform is operating rather than pending |
| 18 million Qantas Frequent Flyer members | Size of the member base the catalogue is placed in front of |
| No material conditions precedent | No material conditions disclosed on the agreement |
The financial impact remains unquantified. The company states that revenue will depend on redemption volumes, so the impact cannot yet be reliably quantified, and the announcement provides no revenue, ticket volume or margin figures.
The Blackhawk movie ticket deal follows a similar structure, with a three-year term, no conditions precedent and revenue that depends on redemption volumes across Gratifii’s 199-cinema network.
How the Marketplacer partnership made it possible
The company said the deal was made possible through its strategic partnership with Marketplacer, the technology that powers online marketplaces. The partnership has expanded Gratifii’s ability to deliver its traditional offerings, such as movies, experiences and attractions, as well as a wide range of other drop ship suppliers, directly through its platform.
Mr Dunstan said the partnership “made it happen,” adding that “a single API connection let a partner of this scale go live quickly, with minimal technical lift on either side, and the ability to add new products in real time.”
What is an online marketplace and API connection?
An online marketplace is a platform where many suppliers list products in one place, so customers can browse and buy from a single storefront. Drop ship suppliers are suppliers who fulfil orders themselves, rather than the platform holding stock.
An API (application programming interface) is a standard connection that lets two software systems exchange information. A single API connection means a partner links to the platform once, rather than building separate links for each product or supplier.
Per the CEO’s comments, this approach allowed a partner of Qantas’s scale to go live quickly, with minimal technical lift on either side. A fast-integration model of this kind could support further enterprise partners, although the announcement does not name or indicate any.
What investors should watch next
The announcement points to three themes for investors:
- A large-scale member channel: the catalogue is now in front of 18 million Qantas Frequent Flyer members, per the CEO.
- A scalable integration model: a single API connection enabled a quick go-live.
- A pipeline of partnerships: the CEO said the go-live delivers on the pipeline of partnerships signalled to the market.
Investors tracking the pipeline of partnerships should also note the restructured Simplicity terms, which defer completion to 31 January 2027 and add an earnings-based condition tested to 31 December 2026.
Items to watch include:
- Redemption volumes, on which revenue depends
- Any future disclosure of ticket volume or revenue impact
- Further marketplace partners
