FortifAI launches NOL8 AI Data Plane Version 2.0 as commercially available release
FortifAI Limited (ASX: FTI) has announced the commercial launch of NOL8 AI Data Plane Version 2.0, the “production, revenue and enterprise-ready” Commercial Engine. The release is now generally available on AWS and open to enterprise customers for paid proof-of-value engagements.
Version 2.0 was delivered more than two months ahead of the end-CY2026 target set in the company’s February 2026 roadmap. It is also in line with the late-October general availability flagged to the market on 12 October 2026.
Kelly Herrell, Chief Executive Officer
“…We committed to a commercial ready platform by the end of the year and have delivered it early…”
The release marks a shift from technical validation towards paid customer engagements. Version 2.0 is described as commercially available, and the announcement discloses no revenue figures, customer names or contract values.

Roadmap delivered ahead of schedule
The February 2026 roadmap set out three stages. The table below compares each stage with its target and current status, as described in the announcement.
| Stage | Roadmap target | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Demonstration Engine | No target date stated | Stage included in the February 2026 roadmap |
| Version 1.0 Customer Benchmarking Engine | Targeted July 2026 | Launched 29 June 2026, ahead of plan |
| Version 2.0 Commercial Engine | Targeted end-CY2026 | Delivered late October 2026, more than two months early |
The enhanced features in Version 2.0 were delivered in under 4 months, which the company described as half the build cycle of Version 1.0.
For investors, two consecutive stages arriving ahead of the stated timetable offer a data point on management’s delivery against its own roadmap.
The February 2026 roadmap set a three-phase path from demonstration testing to a commercial platform, and the early Version 2.0 release gives investors a clear benchmark against which management’s original commitments can now be measured.
What “production-ready” means for enterprise customers
NOL8’s AI Data Plane gives organisations visibility into how data moves through their AI systems. Version 1.0 proved the engine’s performance on customer data, while Version 2.0 takes that same engine into production, where it must run every day on live data rather than in testing.
The announcement lists the following Version 2.0 capabilities:
- Resilience and hardening: engineered for continuous operation on live production traffic and hardened against peak load.
- Full regional availability: deployable across every region served by AWS, Megaport and Equinix.
- Fully scalable: capacity grows with customer demand, from a single workload to enterprise-wide deployment.
- Fully functional user interface: customers configure policies, deploy, monitor and manage NOL8 through a complete interface.
NOL8 has also operationalised the platform, with the monitoring, support and operating processes in place to run paying customer workloads.
Megaport and Equinix distribution
NOL8 joined the Megaport AI Exchange in June 2026 and became deployable on Equinix Fabric in September 2026. In both cases, access was limited to proof-of-concept deployments and testing with select customers ahead of general availability.
Megaport customers can deploy NOL8 through the AI Exchange service in the Megaport Marketplace, alongside the compute, connectivity and storage they already use. This sits across Megaport’s private network of more than 1,100 data centres.
The Megaport AI Exchange listing placed NOL8 alongside compute, network and storage in Megaport’s AI infrastructure stack, with proof-of-concept deployments running on real customer workloads before general availability.
Equinix customers can reach NOL8 over an existing Fabric connection in any of more than 60 metros, with no per-site deployment.
Customer and data centre figures are those published by Megaport (as at 30 June 2026) and Equinix, and some customers may use both networks. The figures should therefore not be added together.
Distribution through networks that customers already use is the route the company has chosen to reach enterprise buyers.
Next phase: paid proof of value and joint go-to-market
Enterprise customers can now commission paid proof-of-value engagements. These involve running NOL8 on their own production data to measure its impact before entering full commercial contracts.
NOL8 will also pursue joint go-to-market activity with Megaport and Equinix, focused on enterprise sales execution and the development of joint architectures combining NOL8 with each partner’s network.
The announcement points to the following next steps:
- Paid proof-of-value engagements with enterprise customers.
- Joint go-to-market activity with Megaport and Equinix.
- Market updates as paid engagements are secured.
Paid proof-of-value engagements are evaluation arrangements and are not commitments to enter commercial contracts. Their number, timing, value and conversion are not assured.
The next development for investors to watch is the company’s update to the market as the first paid engagements are secured.
