Dicker Data completes Sektor Group acquisition
Dicker Data (ASX: DDR) has completed the Sektor Group acquisition, taking 100% of Sektor Group Ltd (Sektor) on 2 November 2026, in accordance with its terms.
The completion follows the company’s announcement of 6 October 2026 regarding the agreement to acquire Sektor.
As anticipated, the acquisition was funded via an extension of Dicker Data’s existing debt facilities. The deal has now moved from agreed to completed.
The deal carried a NZD$138.0 million price tag on a cash free, debt free basis, roughly AUD$111.8 million, which is why the funding route through existing debt facilities matters for how the transaction is read.

Sektor’s numbers and the earnings target
Dicker Data confirmed Sektor’s results for the most recent twelve-month period, alongside an earnings target for the business once it is integrated.
Sektor’s 12 months to 31 August 2026
In the twelve months to 31 August 2026, Sektor delivered the following:
| Metric | Figure |
|---|---|
| Gross revenue | NZD$440 million |
| Unaudited normalised pre-AASB16 EBITDA | NZD$22.7 million |
EBITDA stands for Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation, a measure of operating earnings before those items.
Post-integration target
Dicker Data is targeting annualised, post-integration pre-AASB16 EBITDA contribution from Sektor of approximately NZD$28-32 million, before one-off transaction and integration costs.
That target sits above the NZD$22.7 million reported for the twelve months to 31 August 2026.
The acquisition is expected to be earnings accretive in the company’s FY26 year ending 31 December 2026, excluding those same one-off transaction and integration costs. Earnings accretive means the deal is expected to add to the company’s earnings.
What distribution means and why Sektor widens Dicker Data’s reach
How a technology distributor makes money
A technology distributor sources hardware, software and cloud products from vendors and sells them exclusively to its reseller partners. Dicker Data describes itself as an Australian-owned and operated, ASX-listed technology hardware, software and cloud distributor, in business since 1978.
Its portfolio includes products from vendors such as Cisco, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft. For a distributor, scale and vendor relationships are central to the model, which is the context for adding Sektor’s NZD$440 million gross revenue base.
Scale is already a feature of the group, which posted record FY25 results with $3.9 billion in gross revenue, so Sektor’s NZD$440 million adds a meaningful but incremental layer to an established distribution base.
Operational and geographic expansion
According to Dicker Data Executive Chair and Managing Director Fiona Brown, the acquisition expands the company’s reach in two ways:
- Adjacent categories: operational expansion into point-of-sale and enterprise mobility.
- Geography: Sektor’s established operational footprint in Thailand and Malaysia.
- Strategy: the acquisition will enable Dicker Data to leverage its scale, vendor relationships and partner ecosystem.
Fiona Brown, Executive Chair and Managing Director, Dicker Data Limited
“We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of Sektor and are very excited to welcome all Sektor employees, customers and suppliers into the Dicker Data family.”
