What the Dealer Lot Management Platform will do
Connected car technology moves into dealerships
The DLM Platform will enable Hyundai to extend connected car technology into dealership operations. It is intended to help retailers improve vehicle visibility, readiness, delivery preparation, and customer experience best practices.
Available as an optional purchase, the platform will provide Hyundai dealers with connected car-powered tools that help:
- Track vehicle status
- Improve inventory visibility
- Streamline vehicle preparation
- Support a more seamless handoff from the dealership to the customer
The platform will leverage Connexion’s expertise in designing, developing, and managing software in close collaboration with Hyundai’s connected vehicle technology teams.
Connected car technology explained
Connected car technology refers to vehicles that transmit data about their status. In a dealership setting, that kind of information can help staff understand where vehicles are and what condition they are in.
Connexion’s own platforms already incorporate embedded telemetry and fleet and contract management tools. The announcement does not detail the technical specifications of the DLM Platform.
Hyundai’s scale
The announcement’s description of Hyundai Motor America provides context for the size of the network the platform is intended to serve.
| Fact | Context |
|---|---|
| More than 855 independent dealers | The DLM Platform is an optional purchase for Hyundai dealers |
| Significant US operations | Includes North American headquarters in California and the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama assembly plant |
| $26 billion US investment, 2025 to 2028 | Investment by Hyundai Motor Group, not a Connexion figure |

Why the Hyundai agreement matters for CXZ investors
The agreement places Connexion’s software capability within a Hyundai programme that extends into dealership operations. Connexion Software is described in the announcement as an enterprise-grade, automotive software company powering courtesy transportation for OEMs and thousands of Dealerships across North America.
The Hyundai programme follows the GM Canada national rollout of OnTRAC, which extended Connexion’s dealership software footprint beyond its existing US network and into a second country.
Three points stand out from the announcement:
- Exclusive supplier status for the software design, development, and management capability supporting the DLM Platform
- A software offering that extends into dealership operations through connected car-powered tools
- A defined launch window of early 2027
The Company considers the agreement “strategically important” but stated it is not currently possible to estimate the immediate financial impact. No contract value, term or revenue figures were disclosed.
Connexion Mobility is a public, automotive services holding company comprising Connexion Software and Connexion Automotive. Its proprietary OnTRAC and Connexion platforms incorporate embedded telemetry, fleet and contract management, and data analytics tools. Connexion Automotive delivers automotive service and repair to fleet and retail customers in Australia.
What to watch next
The next milestone is the national United States launch of the DLM Platform, scheduled for early 2027.
Because the platform is available as an optional purchase for Hyundai dealers, future updates on commercial terms and dealer uptake will be relevant to assessing the agreement’s contribution to Connexion.
