THC shots launch: 87,456 units produced and repeat orders in first quarter
Peak Processing Limited (ASX: PKP) has entered the THC shots market, a new vertical for the company, and has received repeat orders since production began. The company produced 87,456 shots in the September 2026 quarter, its first quarter of production, after commencing production in July 2026.
Peak projects production of approximately 1,000,000 shots over the next 12 months. Managing Director and CEO Barry Katzman said the company expects production to more than double over that period.
Repeat orders arriving within the first quarter offer an early indication of demand for the format, according to management.

“…Importantly, shots run alongside our canned beverage lines using our existing personnel and infrastructure, rather than competing with them for capacity, so this is incremental revenue at little extra cost…”

What are THC shots and why do they matter?
THC shots are single-serve, THC-infused beverages. They give consumers what Peak describes as a convenient single-serve alternative to a full THC beverage.
Key product facts from the announcement:
- Size: 65ml single-serve format
- THC content: 10mg per shot, the maximum permitted per container under Canada’s cannabis regulations
- Use: can be taken straight as a shooter or used as a mixer in other drinks
- Onset: labelled at around 15 minutes, although onset times may vary
- Retail price in Canada: C$3.95 to C$4.50 each
The retail price is what consumers pay in store. It is not Peak’s revenue per shot.
Peak does not disclose its production cost, the price at which it sells shots to contract manufacturing customers, or its gross margins, as the information is commercially sensitive. No revenue figures are provided in the announcement.
Incremental revenue without using canned beverage capacity
Shots are filled on an existing dedicated line that runs in parallel with Peak’s canning lines. According to the company, the additional volume does not reduce canned beverage capacity and requires no additional staff or equipment.
Using existing lines for new volume fits a business whose positive EBITDA momentum through March, April and May 2026 has been built on a lower fixed-cost base and rising production.

Growth outlook for the THC shots vertical
The projected volume comprises contract manufacturing for existing and new customers and direct sales. It is based on current order volumes, production schedules, advanced customer discussions, product launch timing and customer forecasts.
Contract volumes already carry some visibility elsewhere in the business, with the Electric Brands agreement covering 1.4 million units annually, backed by minimum order quantities and renewal options of up to eight years.
The projection remains subject to further customer orders and market demand. It is a production projection from management and not earnings guidance.
Mr Katzman pointed to plans to expand the shots vertical, enquiries from other companies and the popularity of the format. The announcement does not name customers or provide timelines for any expansion.
On that basis, the CEO said:

“…we see shots becoming a meaningful growth driver for Peak, and we expect production to more than double over the next 12 months.”
