ABT delivers record $23.5m revenue and 37.5% EBITDA growth in FY26
Advanced Braking Technology Ltd (ASX: ABV), the Perth-based OEM vehicle safety technology provider, delivered record revenue of $23.5m for the 12 months ended 30 June 2026 (FY26), up 22.7% from $19.1m in FY25.
The result was driven by demand for its SIBS® FailSafe solutions, international expansion and aftermarket growth. ABT reported the full-year performance across three strands: record revenue, expanding margins and earnings, and a strategic technology milestone with independent certification progress on its BRAKEiQ™ system.

Working capital rose 37% to $11.9m (FY25: $8.7m), which the Company noted supports its growth strategy, product development and international expansion.
ABT’s H1 FY26 results, which showed revenue up 27% to $11.1 million and a 124% surge in net profit before tax, established the first-half foundation from which the full-year record was built, with recurring aftermarket revenue already accounting for 45% of total sales at the interim stage.
What drove the growth — global reach and recurring revenue
ABT attributed its FY26 performance to disciplined execution across three strategic priorities: expanding global reach, strengthening recurring revenue, and accelerating innovation.
Expanding global reach
International deployments and domestic mandates broadened the installed base during the period:
-
Increased adoption of SIBS® FailSafe solutions across North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
-
Expanded into Ghana and Zimbabwe, broadening ABT’s international footprint.
-
Deployed SIBS® FailSafe solutions for JCB Telehandlers at Rio Tinto’s Oyu Tolgoi copper and gold operation in Mongolia.
-
Secured domestic mandates at MMG’s Dugald River underground zinc mine in Queensland and Gold Fields’ operation in Western Australia.
Recurring revenue building a more predictable base
Recurring aftermarket revenue grew 26.2% through spare parts, consumables and service support as the installed base expanded. ABT also rolled out its Refurbishment Program, which supports equipment life extension, lower operating costs and improved sustainability outcomes.
The shift toward recurring, lifecycle-driven revenue improves earnings predictability, giving the business a more stable base as new equipment sales continue.
Understanding SIBS®, BRAKEiQ™ and why CAS Level 9 matters
SIBS® stands for Sealed Integrated Braking System, ABT’s braking technology designed for the world’s harshest conditions with a focus on safety, zero emissions and durability. The Company is building on this foundation with an innovation pipeline aimed at the collision avoidance and autonomous technologies increasingly adopted across mining operations.
Two products anchor that pipeline: BRAKEiQ™ and SIBSiQ™. Both are designed to support collision avoidance and autonomous braking, areas of growing customer demand as mine sites automate.
CAS Level 9 (CAS9) refers to the highest safety tier defined by the Earth Moving Equipment Safety Round Table (EMESRT), involving automatic vehicle intervention.
Subsequent to year end, BRAKEiQ™ completed ISO/TS 21815-2:2021 certification with the University of Pretoria, described by management as a major step toward CAS Level 9 certification. The Company’s strategic highlights noted BRAKEiQ™ completed independent CAS Level 9 (CAS9) certification by the University of Pretoria, supporting commercialisation of the technology. This certification progress opens a pathway into the autonomous and collision-avoidance segment.
The BRAKEiQ ISO certification milestone is a step in a staged compliance pathway, with real-world machine testing still required before full CAS9 status is achieved, a distinction that matters for investors assessing the commercialisation timeline.
Management commentary
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Booth pointed to international markets, the expanding installed base and the Refurbishment Program as key contributors to the year’s progress.
Andrew Booth, Managing Director and CEO
“FY26 was a defining year for Advanced Braking Technology. We delivered a strong financial result, strengthened our position in key markets and continued building the platforms needed to support the Company’s next phase of growth.”
Booth added that international markets remained an important driver of growth, while the expanding installed base created more opportunities to support customers through spare parts, consumables and service. He described the successful rollout of the Refurbishment Program as a particular highlight.
FY27 priorities and outlook
Building on its FY26 progress, ABT has outlined five priorities for FY27:
-
Deepen market presence by consolidating established mining markets and selectively expanding into priority international regions.
-
Grow lifecycle revenue through aftermarket parts, consumables, service support and the Refurbishment Program.
-
Commercialise next-generation technologies by accelerating BRAKEiQ™ deployment following CAS9 certification and advancing SIBSiQ™.
-
Scale the operating platform by improving supply resilience, cost competitiveness and organisational capability.
-
Pursue strategic growth opportunities that broaden ABT’s offering, enhance its market position and create sustainable value for shareholders.
The Company noted it enters FY27 with a strengthened operational and financial position. While global economic conditions, geopolitical developments, supply chain complexity and customer adoption timelines are expected to remain relevant factors during FY27, ABT stated that the long-term drivers supporting investment in mine safety, automation and productivity remain compelling and continue to underpin demand for its safety-critical braking technologies.
ABT presented its FY26 results via an interactive webcast on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, at 11:30am AEST / 9:30am AWST.
