Worley secures its first major framework services agreement with INPEX
Worley Limited (ASX: WOR) has been awarded an engineering services framework agreement by INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd to support Australian projects. The agreement represents Worley’s first major services framework agreement with INPEX, building on more than a decade of supporting the company.
Under the arrangement, Worley has the opportunity to provide engineering services through its Perth office, with support from its Global Integrated Delivery team.
Contract value, duration and scope were not disclosed in the announcement. Investors should note that the framework establishes an opportunity to provide services rather than a fixed-value awarded contract.

What the agreement covers
The framework gives Worley “the opportunity to provide engineering services” to INPEX for Australian projects. The delivery model draws on the company’s local Perth base combined with global engineering resources.
Key elements of the arrangement include:
-
Engineering services delivered via Worley’s Perth office
-
Support from Worley’s Global Integrated Delivery team
-
A continuation of more than a decade of existing support for INPEX
No dollar value or contract term was specified in the release.
Understanding framework services agreements
A framework services agreement is a pre-agreed arrangement that positions a supplier to be engaged for work over time without renegotiating commercial terms each time a new task arises. It sets the terms under which work orders can be drawn down as required.
For investors, framework agreements can create a pipeline of repeat, recurring work and deepen a supplier’s relationship with a major customer. The actual revenue generated, however, depends on the volume of work orders placed under the framework.
The Tengizchevroil framework agreement signed in March 2026 illustrates the same commercial dynamic: no contract value is disclosed at signing, and actual revenue depends entirely on the volume of work orders drawn down over the term.
This distinction matters. An “opportunity to provide” services is a positioning win that formalises an established relationship, not a guaranteed revenue figure.
Why the INPEX win matters for Worley
The agreement reinforces Worley’s positioning within the Australian energy sector and its asset lifecycle capability, spanning the full life of a customer’s operating assets.
The INPEX arrangement follows a pattern of framework wins Worley has been accumulating across its Australian and global client base; the exclusive APA Group framework secured in May 2026 similarly drew on Perth and Global Integrated Delivery resources, with an exclusive single-contractor structure that removed competitive exposure on that portfolio entirely.
Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer, Worley
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to support INPEX under this agreement. It reinforces Worley’s capability in delivering asset lifecycle solutions and attests to our strength in supporting customers to maintain and enhance complex operating assets.”
