Why a follow-on spares order matters to investors
Spare parts orders flowing from an existing support contract demonstrate that the contract is live and operational. They also reinforce customer retention, indicating the platform remains in active service with the Defence customer.
Mr Bede Galvin, President, HighCom Technology
“As a key technology integrator, HighCom Technology are delighted to announce this spare parts order, a clear demonstration of the ongoing trust and confidence that our military customers place in our solutions and platforms. It reinforces the strength of our offering and the value we continue to deliver.”
Understanding counter-small uncrewed aerial systems (C-sUAS)
Uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, are aircraft operated without an onboard pilot. Counter-UAS (C-UAS) capability refers to systems designed to detect, track and neutralise hostile drones, an increasingly important consideration in modern defence operations.
HighCom Technology operates as a technology integrator of UAS, C-UAS solutions and associated command and control systems.
This latest order reflects the support and sustainment phase of the April 2026 contract, where equipment already in service requires replacement components to remain operational.
The C-sUAS Support Contract, announced in April 2026 and valued at A$9.81 million, marked HighCom Technology’s first major entry into the counter-drone domain and was fulfilled in partnership with Danish firm MyDefence AS.

Where HighCom fits and what comes next
The HighCom Group is structured around HighCom Ltd (Australia) and comprises two distinct divisions. HighCom Armor designs and supplies body armour, ballistic helmets, and composite armour panels and platform structures. HighCom Technology focuses on the integration of UAS, C-UAS solutions and command and control systems.
HighCom Technology’s tethered drone system contract, secured earlier in 2026 through a partnership with U.S. firm Menet Aero, extends the division’s footprint into persistent surveillance alongside its counter-drone integration work.
The two divisions work in close collaboration to support the Group’s mission to ‘protect first and front-line responders’. The order is scheduled for delivery in FY27.
