Endeavour Group appoints Michael Casamento as new CFO
Endeavour Group (ASX: EDV) has appointed Michael Casamento as its incoming Chief Financial Officer. The move follows current CFO Kate Beattie‘s decision to retire from executive roles in late CY2027.
Casamento is set to commence as CFO in November, with the change forming part of a planned leadership transition within Endeavour’s broader transformation agenda.

Who is Michael Casamento?
Casamento is a highly credentialed finance executive whose background spans large-cap, global operations. His appointment brings senior financial leadership experience relevant to Endeavour’s transformation strategy across its retail brands and 350+ pubs.
Key credentials include:
-
More than 30 years of domestic and international business experience across a range of geographies and industries
-
Sector experience spanning FMCG and “Away From Home products and services”
-
Recently concluded a long tenure as Group CFO of Amcor Plc
-
Played a leading role in transforming Amcor into the global leader for consumer packaging and dispensing solutions
-
Returning to Australia after being based in Zurich for the past 10 years
A structured transition and Kate Beattie’s continued role
The handover has been deliberately staged rather than abrupt, supporting continuity for investors during the change. Beattie’s role does not conclude when Casamento commences, as she will retain significant functional responsibilities through the transition period.
The transition follows these steps:
-
Beattie has served Endeavour for nearly 10 years across a range of executive roles.
-
Following Casamento’s commencement in November, Beattie will remain as Chief Business Services Officer until late 2027.
-
In this role, she will deliver the ERP business transition and lead the supply chain and procurement functions through significant change.
-
These functional responsibilities will transition to Casamento once the ERP transition has been successfully completed.
Beattie intends to build on her executive career and transition to a non-executive career.
Jayne Hrdlicka, CEO and Managing Director
“On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Michael to Endeavour Group. As we progress our transformation strategy, we look forward to Michael’s leadership and contribution across the breadth of our transformation agenda as we work to deliver the potential of our great retail brands and 350+ pubs. He brings a wealth of valuable experience to our team.”
Hrdlicka also acknowledged Beattie’s contribution, noting she was “a vital part of my transition into our business” and thanking her for her “considerable commitment and continued support during the transition.”
What CFO succession means for investors
The CFO oversees financial strategy, capital allocation and reporting, making leadership stability in this role closely watched by the market. A well-planned succession can reduce the uncertainty that sometimes accompanies senior executive change.
Endeavour’s F26 full-year results placed the CFO transition in a demanding financial context, with Underlying NPAT falling 15% to $363m and a $372m portfolio reset covering wineries, hotels, and legacy technology systems signalling the scale of change the incoming finance leadership will need to manage.
By retaining Beattie as Chief Business Services Officer to deliver the ERP transition, Endeavour has structured the handover in a way that supports operational continuity. The staged approach may help de-risk the change while the incoming CFO settles into the role.
The transition sits within Endeavour’s ongoing transformation strategy across its retail brands and 350+ pub network.
| Milestone | Timing | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Casamento commences as CFO | November | Assumes CFO responsibilities |
| Beattie as Chief Business Services Officer | November – late 2027 | Delivers ERP transition, leads supply chain & procurement |
| Full functional handover | Post ERP completion | Responsibilities transition to Casamento |

With a structured handover and continued involvement from an experienced executive, Endeavour has positioned its finance leadership for continuity as it progresses its transformation agenda across its retail brands and 350+ pub network.
