Immuron secures exclusive US distribution rights for PROIBS®
Immuron Limited (ASX: IMC; NASDAQ: IMRN) has executed an exclusive distribution agreement for PROIBS® in the United States with Calmino group AB, announced on 4 September 2026.
The move builds on the existing PROIBS® launch in Australia during FY26, developing the collaboration into a two-continent partnership. The agreement expands Immuron’s digestive health portfolio in the United States, a key growth market for the company following the momentum of its Travelan® product.

Tapping a $4.16 billion US gut health market
The overall US digestive and gut health supplement market is valued at $4.16 billion, according to Mordor Intelligence. Immuron is targeting a subset of this market with PROIBS® rather than the full figure, positioning the product within a defined segment of a large addressable market.
The addition aligns with a commercial growth strategy focused on bringing a portfolio of innovative digestive health products to the US market. By introducing PROIBS® through the exclusive distribution agreement, Immuron aims to build on the rapid sales growth of Travelan® in the region.
The Immuron FY26 sales results confirmed US revenue grew 13% in USD terms to USD$1.2 million across the full year, providing the commercial foundation on which the PROIBS® US distribution strategy is now being built.
Flavio Palumbo, Chief Commercial Officer
“Following the rapid growth of Travelan® sales in the US, we have developed a commercial growth strategy to bring a portfolio of innovative digestive health products to market. PROIBS® is a great opportunity to further expand our digestive health portfolio by providing our customers with a proven premium product that delivers improvement in daily life. With PROIBS®, we are able to provide an innovative and European certified medical device. …”
What is PROIBS® and why it matters
PROIBS® is a medical device, not a drug or supplement, used for abdominal pain, bloating and unsettled bowel movements, including diarrhoea and/or constipation. It contains AVH200®, derived from the plant Aloe barbadensis Mill., which has gel-forming components that support the intestinal mucosal barrier, the protective lining of the gut.
The product is suitable for long-term use, with an excellent safety profile and no known interactions with other medications. PROIBS® has been available on the Swedish pharmacy market for more than a decade, establishing a track record that reduces the commercial risk typically associated with newly introduced products.
Calmino group AB, the developer of PROIBS®, conducted a usability study among 1,003 users. The results reported:
-
Helpful for 94% of users
-
91% experienced an improvement in daily life
-
98% would recommend PROIBS® to someone else
For investors, this combination of European medical device certification, a decade-long market presence, and documented user validation presents a science-backed, market-proven product entering a large market.
Expanding the Immuron–Calmino partnership
The US agreement deepens a collaboration that began with the Australian launch during FY26. What started on one continent is now developing across two, with the United States identified as the next market for the two companies to develop together.
Tobias Kisker, CEO and founder of Calmino group AB
“… What started with PROIBS® in Australia is now developing into a partnership across two continents, with the United States becoming our next important market together. …”
Calmino group AB is a Swedish life science company founded in 2003 and based at Sahlgrenska Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden. Its lead product, PROIBS®, has been distributed internationally for more than a decade.

What’s next for Immuron
With the exclusive distribution agreement in place, PROIBS® joins Travelan® as part of a broader US digestive health portfolio build-out. The Australian launch during FY26 precedes the US rollout, forming a sequential expansion narrative for the product across two continents.
The strategy centres on capitalising on recent sales growth in the US to scale a product that already carries European medical device certification and a decade of market presence. The announcement does not disclose a specific US launch date, revenue projections, or financial guidance.
The Immuron FY26 financial results showed the cash balance improving by $6.2 million to $9.0 million and gross profit margins holding at 64.5%, a balance sheet position that gives the company the runway to activate the PROIBS US distribution agreement without near-term dilution pressure.
