Airtasker locks in strategic media deals with oOh!media and NOVA to accelerate brand growth
Airtasker (ASX:ART) has secured two new strategic partnerships with outdoor media company oOh!media and broadcast audio company NOVA Entertainment, each providing $5.5 million in media capital over the next 3 years.
The $5.5 million from each partner in advertising services gives the online marketplace a capital-efficient way to accelerate brand awareness across Australia. The move builds on demonstrated results, with brand salience up 20% and Airtasker Australia revenue up 11.3% in FY26.

What the partnerships deliver: national reach across screens and airwaves
The two partners extend Airtasker’s reach across both physical and audio channels nationwide. Each brings a distinct set of media assets to the marketplace’s brand-building strategy.
-
oOh!media: access to more than 30,000 sites across Australia, including billboards, street furniture, airports, office towers and retail centres.
-
NOVA Entertainment: eight metro radio stations across five major capital cities, plus digital audio, podcasts and Coles Radio in more than 800 stores nationally.
These deals extend Airtasker’s media partnership strategy of the past two years, which has included successful partnerships with oOh!media, ARN Media and Nine Entertainment.
Airtasker CEO, Tim Fung
“Airtasker is super excited to be partnering with oOh!media once again, and to be adding NOVA and their powerful audio ecosystem to our roster of media partners. These partnerships help us grow our brand in a capital efficient way, with national reach across out of home and audio – and the flexibility to go big when it counts.”
The numbers: how brand investment is translating to marketplace growth
The partnerships build on evidence that Airtasker’s brand-building spend is feeding through to marketplace performance. Brand salience, a measure of unprompted brand awareness, rose 20% on the prior comparative period (pcp) during FY26, according to the YouGov Brand Tracker comparing June 2026 to June 2025.
That momentum extended into hard financial metrics. Airtasker Australia revenue grew 11.3% to $46.3 million, while Airtasker Australia marketplace gross merchandise value (GMV) reached a record $211.6 million, up 10.9% on pcp. The monetisation rate, which reflects the share of marketplace activity Airtasker converts to revenue, improved by 10 basis points to 21.9%.
| Metric | FY26 Result | Change vs pcp |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $46.3M | +11.3% |
| Marketplace GMV | $211.6M | +10.9% |
| Monetisation rate | 21.9% | +10bps |
| Brand salience | — | +20% |
Understanding the deal structure: media-for-convertible-note explained
Rather than paying cash upfront, Airtasker receives advertising services and funds them through convertible notes. A convertible note is a form of debt that can later be converted into shares or repaid in cash. This structure is what underpins the “capital efficient” framing.
The two notes carry different values and conditions. The oOh!media Note is structured as follows:
-
Airtasker receives $5.5 million (excluding GST) in out-of-home advertising over 3 years.
-
In exchange, Airtasker issues a $5.0 million convertible note with a 4.9% coupon.
-
At maturity, Airtasker has the option to convert the outstanding note and accrued interest into ordinary shares at a 10% discount to the 30-trading-day volume-weighted average share price ending on the maturity date, or repay the note and accrued interest in cash.
Airtasker settled its prior oOh!media and ARN notes in cash on 29 June 2026, paying a combined ~$10.8 million and securing a $300,000 early settlement discount, which confirmed management’s willingness to repay rather than convert when doing so avoids dilution.
The NOVA Note carries a higher face value and an additional condition:
-
Airtasker receives $5.5 million (excluding GST) in broadcast audio advertising over 3 years.
-
In exchange, Airtasker issues a $5.5 million convertible note with a 4.9% coupon.
-
At maturity, Airtasker has the same conversion option at a 10% discount to the 30-trading-day volume-weighted average share price, but subject to Airtasker shareholder approval, or may repay the note and accrued interest in cash.
Each convertible note is unsecured and will rank equally with any other convertible note issued by Airtasker in connection with the provision of media advertising services.
The investment thesis: positioning for the AI-driven shift to local trades
Fung framed the partnerships around Airtasker’s positioning as “the number one marketplace for local services in Australia.” The company links its growth outlook to broader labour market shifts driven by artificial intelligence.
According to Fung, the era of AI is set to accelerate a shift in human labour toward local trades and skilled craft work that is hands-on and in-person. He stated that demand for the platform is expected to grow as a result, and that the new partnerships help strengthen Airtasker’s market position.
For shareholders, the appeal lies in achieving national brand scale through a capital-efficient structure rather than large upfront advertising expenditure.
NOVA Chief Commercial Officer, Nicole Bence
“We’re really looking forward to kicking off our partnership with Airtasker. They understand that when you want people to take action, who delivers the message matters. Any media partner can get you reach. What sets us apart is the trust and influence our creators have with their audiences, and the power of those relationships to drive real business outcomes. When a brand’s story starts with us, it doesn’t end there. The right creator can bring it to life well beyond the ad break.”
What comes next
Both partnerships run over the next 3 years, delivering advertising services across out-of-home and broadcast audio channels. Decisions on whether to convert the notes into shares or repay them in cash sit at maturity, with any conversion of the NOVA Note remaining subject to Airtasker shareholder approval.
