DXN secures A$12.2M AI HPC contract, lifting order book to ~A$21M
DXN Limited has entered a binding A$12.2 million contract with an AI compute operator for the design, engineering, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of a turnkey 2MW AI High-Performance Computing (HPC) Modular Data Centre.
The deal marks DXN’s second AI HPC award in as many months and is materially larger than the Company’s maiden AI HPC contract announced in June 2026. It takes DXN’s AI HPC order book to approximately A$21 million.
The deal marks DXN’s second AI HPC award in as many months, building directly on the maiden AI HPC contract announced in June 2026 with a US-listed neo-cloud operator, which introduced a conditional follow-on campus opportunity projected to exceed USD$200 million over 12 years.
In accordance with ASX Guidance Note 8, DXN has confirmed the identity of the customer is not information a reasonable person would expect to have a material effect on the price or value of its securities. The win, dated 24 August 2026, points to recurring commercial validation of a productised platform rather than a one-off engagement.

Inside the turnkey 2MW deal
Under the terms of the contract, DXN will design, engineer, manufacture, deliver, install and commission a complete turnkey 2MW AI HPC data centre. The solution combines new purpose-built DXN AI modules, joined to form a single high-density data hall, with the upgrade of existing infrastructure on site.
Power, cooling, fire detection and suppression, security and building management systems will be fully integrated.
The contract represents the first phase of a potentially larger deployment opportunity, with the facility engineered with expansion in mind. Subject to successful delivery of this phase, DXN expects to be well positioned to participate in potential future opportunities.
| Feature | Detail |

The turnkey scope is commercially significant.
Why modular AI data centres matter
A prefabricated modular data centre is a facility built and fully tested in a factory before being shipped to site. This approach allows deployment in approximately 5 to 8 months from contract signing, a fraction of the multi-year timeline typically required for conventional construction.
That speed advantage was central to the award. According to Managing Director Shalini Lagrutta, DXN was selected because the requirement is one that “conventional construction cannot meet within the timeframe.”
The customer operates in AI HPC. These operators require capacity deployed in months, not years, and DXN’s prefabricated AI HPC Module range is designed for precisely this demand.
A structural shift is reinforcing the trend. AI inference, the deployment of trained models to serve real-time applications, has overtaken training as the dominant data centre workload and is now the fastest-growing segment of GPU infrastructure demand.
The modular speed advantage rests on four factors:
-
Factory-built and fully tested prior to shipment
-
Deployable in approximately 5 to 8 months versus years for conventional builds
-
High-density GPU capacity delivered on a single site
-
Expansion designed in from day one
In a market where deployment time can decide which supplier wins the contract, this speed represents a meaningful competitive position for DXN.
A market growing at 27.5% a year
The award sits against a strong structural tailwind. Third-party forecasts point to sustained expansion across AI compute infrastructure, providing context for the demand DXN is now capturing.
Key market data includes:
-
Global data centre GPU market estimated at approximately USD$99 billion in 2025, growing at around 14% per annum (Stratview Research)
-
AI data centre infrastructure market forecast to grow at a CAGR of 27.5% through to 2032 (Markets and Markets)
-
GPU-as-a-Service revenue forecast to reach approximately USD$134 billion by 2030 (Analysys Mason)
Shalini Lagrutta, Managing Director of DXN
“This win demonstrates that the AI HPC module platform we have productised over the last three years is translating into wins across both offshore and domestic markets.”
The reference to both offshore and domestic wins signals broad demand for the platform, suggesting the two contracts secured over recent months are not isolated to a single geography or customer type.
What’s next for DXN
Detailed design and long-lead procurement will commence immediately. The customer’s site is targeted to be operational in early calendar year 2027, with the 2MW of high-density GPU capacity expected to be online within the next 12 months.
To deliver the contract, DXN will draw on its expanding production network spanning the eastern seaboard, Malaysia and Perth, assisted by the additional factory capacity funded through its June 2026 capital raise.
Successful delivery of this phase positions DXN to participate in potential future opportunities, though further phases are not committed. The Company continues to invest in manufacturing capacity to ensure production capability keeps pace with demand.
Shalini Lagrutta, Managing Director of DXN
“This is the first phase of a potentially larger deployment, and delivering this phase well, places DXN in a strong position for future phases.”
The ongoing investment in manufacturing capacity indicates DXN is scaling to meet a broader pipeline rather than a single engagement. With two AI HPC awards secured in two months, a growing order book of approximately A$21 million, and production capacity being expanded to match demand, the momentum points toward a platform gaining commercial traction.
For investors wanting to contextualise the order book growth against DXN’s financial position earlier in FY26, our deep-dive into DXN’s backlog conversion outlook covers the revenue recognition timing, cash runway considerations, and project delay dynamics that shaped the company’s trajectory before the AI HPC awards began landing.
