Vmoto renews Uber partnership through to April 2027 and targets electrification of Dutch food delivery
Vmoto Limited (ASX: VMT) has renewed its international partnership with Uber, extending the collaboration through to April 2027, alongside a new initiative to electrify food delivery couriers in the Netherlands. The renewal signals continuity for a demand channel tied directly to one of the world’s largest mobility platforms.
The renewed agreement also introduces automatic renewals for successive periods of 12 months following the current term, unless terminated by either party. That mechanism points to durability rather than a one-off arrangement.
The renewal builds on the original partnership Vmoto announced on 23 June 2025, which established long-term cooperation between the two companies. For investors, the extension embeds a recurring, multi-year demand pathway within Vmoto’s European operations.

What the renewed partnership covers
The commercial scope of the arrangement sees Vmoto offering its products (for purchase, rent or lease) to Uber Partners across a number of cities in Europe and the UK. These vehicles are used for transportation and logistics services via the Uber Platform.
Uber has set a target to transition 100,000 motorbike couriers to electric mopeds across seven European and UK markets by 2030. Vmoto’s CPx e-moped is currently described as the most popular e-moped model in the UK and is widely used across Europe.
The partnership rests on four pillars:
-
Product offered for purchase, rent or lease to Uber Partners
-
Coverage across European and UK cities via the Uber Platform
-
Uber’s 100,000-courier electrification target by 2030
-
CPx e-moped positioned as the UK’s most popular model
For investors, the structure defines a multi-year addressable market tied directly to Uber’s decarbonisation roadmap, giving Vmoto a clear line of sight into potential courier demand.
Netherlands electrification, the new expansion layer
The renewal introduces a fresh geographic element. Vmoto, together with its supplier partners, will offer exclusive discounts on vehicles as well as rental, maintenance and charging services to couriers in the Netherlands.
According to the company, these discounts could save couriers hundreds of euros by switching to Vmoto e-mopeds. Together with Uber, Vmoto aims to electrify food delivery across the Dutch market.
The Haarlem emission-free scheme adds a regulatory dimension to Vmoto’s Netherlands presence: from 1 January 2028, non-compliant petrol mopeds face fines of 90 euros per offence, creating captive EV demand that sits alongside the Uber courier electrification initiative in the same market.
No specific discount figures, unit volumes, or revenue values have been disclosed for the Netherlands initiative.

Charles Chen, Managing Director
“We would like to thank Uber for their trust and support, and for their professionalism and efficient collaboration throughout this process. This partnership renewal marks a new beginning. We will deepen our cooperation with Uber across technological innovation, market expansion and user experience. We firmly believe that, against the backdrop of the continuous evolution of global mobility and service platforms, our cooperation will create more value for both Vmoto and Uber.”
Understanding the e-moped delivery opportunity
Why does an embedded supplier relationship with a platform like Uber matter? Rather than selling units one by one through retail channels, Vmoto’s arrangement channels courier demand directly toward its models.
Why the renewal matters for the investment case
The company’s established product-market fit strengthens the position. The CPx model is currently cited as the UK’s leading e-moped, indicating proven adoption in a competitive delivery market.
Vmoto’s FY26 sales guidance frames last mile delivery partnerships as the primary growth engine, with the company targeting revenue of $73.5 million to $85 million on the back of Uber and similar platform arrangements alongside Asian regulatory tailwinds.
Key investor takeaways include:
-
Extended, self-renewing partnership
-
Direct exposure to Uber’s 100,000-courier 2030 target
-
New Netherlands market layer adding exclusive discounts on rental, maintenance and charging services
-
Leading product position already proven in the UK
What comes next
Management has stated it intends to deepen cooperation with Uber across technological innovation, market expansion and user experience. The immediate forward path includes the rollout of the Netherlands discounts and associated services, alongside continued progress toward Uber’s 2030 electrification milestone.
Beyond the April 2027 renewal term and Uber’s 2030 target, no further timelines have been disclosed. The renewal nonetheless positions Vmoto as an embedded supplier within the broader European e-mobility transition, with a defined role in one platform’s shift toward zero-emission delivery.
