archTIS secures $119K U.S. bank contract as Spirion momentum builds
archTIS Limited (ASX: AR9, OTCQB: ARHLF) has announced a new contract valued at approximately A$119K with a Nasdaq-listed U.S. regional bank headquartered in California, covering software licensing and premium support for the Spirion Sensitive Data Platform. The win, announced 17 September 2026, follows a prior Spirion contract worth A$445K announced on 8 September 2026, bringing combined total contract value (TCV) across the two wins to $564K in a fortnight. The new $119K contract was sourced through archTIS’ partner channel and signals growing traction for Spirion in regulated commercial sectors beyond the company’s traditional government and defence base.
The customer has requested confidentiality and will not be identified. archTIS has confirmed that the description provided contains all material information relating to the contract.

What Spirion does — and why financial services needs it
Like many established financial institutions, the California-based bank holds more than a decade of accumulated unstructured data distributed across its systems. Unstructured data refers to files and documents that are not stored in a structured database, such as emails, spreadsheets, and reports sitting across Windows file shares, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
The organisation required the ability to identify this legacy data accurately, act on it under a defensible policy, and evidence that activity to auditors. A defensible policy is one that can be demonstrated to regulators as systematic, consistent, and auditable.
Spirion will be deployed initially across the customer’s Windows file share environment, where the majority of legacy data resides. The platform will apply its own classification alongside existing Microsoft Purview retention and classification labels, and will automate retention, deletion, and quarantine actions by file type, location, and age, including defined exceptions for legal hold.
The customer selected Spirion based on four criteria:
- Accuracy in identifying and classifying sensitive data
- Customisation depth — the ability to tailor retention and deletion policies to its specific workflows
- Coverage of all in-scope data repositories
- Automation — reducing the employee time required to manage data lifecycle tasks
Spirion’s expanding vertical market opportunity
The financial services win reflects archTIS’ deliberate strategy to extend Spirion’s reach beyond its traditional government, defence, and national security customer base. According to the announcement, the same underlying data challenges that drove this deployment exist across a range of regulated industries, including:
- Banking
- Aviation
- Healthcare
- Critical infrastructure
- Other regulated industries
The initial deployment across Windows file shares also creates a pathway for expansion. archTIS noted that the contract opens opportunities to extend into additional enterprise data sources and into the broader archTIS product portfolio, including NC Protect and archTIS Trusted Data Integration (TDI). The contract structure is designed to support longer-term recurring customer relationships while broadening the company’s addressable market across both public-sector and commercial organisations.
Daniel Lai, Managing Director and CEO, archTIS
“Legacy data that should have been disposed of years ago is one of the most underestimated risks a regulated business carries. This customer needed to find it, act on it and prove what it had done for auditing purposes – accurately and at scale. They selected Spirion for its ability to cover all data repositories in scope and automate workflows to address their data retention needs. This contract, alongside the A$445K contract announced to the market on 8 September 2026, further validates the diversification of archTIS’ product set through the acquisition of Spirion and shows increasing traction with a broader range of industries that are seeking better ways to find and protect their sensitive data.”
Investment case — what two wins in two weeks signals
Two Spirion contract wins within a fortnight points to accelerating commercial momentum following archTIS’ acquisition of Spirion. The wins indicate that the platform’s data discovery, classification, and remediation capabilities are resonating with enterprise buyers outside the government and defence verticals where archTIS has historically operated.
The A$445K aviation contract announced on 8 September 2026 involved a three-year deployment of Spirion across a U.S. private aviation company’s Microsoft 365 environment, workstations, and enterprise file shares, with the customer committing to annual payments across the full term.
The partner channel sourcing of the current contract is also a meaningful signal. It suggests archTIS is building scalable, third-party-driven distribution capacity rather than relying solely on direct sales activity.
The table below summarises both recent Spirion contract wins:
| Announcement Date | Customer Type | Geography | Contract Value | Product |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 September 2026 | Undisclosed | Not disclosed | A$445K | Spirion Sensitive Data Platform |
| 17 September 2026 | Nasdaq-listed U.S. regional bank | California, USA | A$119K | Spirion Sensitive Data Platform |
The combined $564K TCV across the two wins demonstrates that Spirion is finding commercial traction across both enterprise and regulated industry customers. archTIS has not disclosed pipeline size or forward revenue forecasts beyond what is outlined in this announcement.
